BRIEF COMPANY PROFILE

ARTCASE INC was founded in 2005 as dedicated continuation of an art consulting firm spanding thirty years and highly regarded for its reputation of excellent service to clients, artists and the art following community.

We are a BBBEE Level 4 Company Enterprize.

We abstain from art politics and believe in service policy.

We provide the following all encompassing services:

1. Introduction of quality visual art

We present quality selected artworks. We source work by known and potential artists throughout SA. These works (original paintings, sculpture, glass art, works on paper and hand embroidered art ) are exhibited at our office and private gallery in Pretoria, South Africa, and promoted on our website. We consult either at the art gallery or visit homes and offices.

Our emphasis rests upon mastership in art and our top criteria is that an artist should display his or her command of the field of technique and theme they pursue , be authentic and make a sophisicated contribution towards art awareness.

2. Art Project Management

To date we have consulted and co-consulted with some of SA’s leading companies, encouraging them to apply art as visual support with which to identify and define their corporate image.
This contributes towards the innovative enhancement of corporate indentity and to create an improved space for the employees. We also provide a service where we refresh a collection by selling exiting art and perhaps replacing it with art from current trends.

3. Valuation of artworks and art collections

This is a very important consideration for insurance purposes. It is worthwhile for private and corporate asset
control. We have experience in the valuation of art collections of noteworthy companies, organisations and
individuals. These valuations assist art collectors in the re-evaluation of their collections and the position of art in the market place.

Brief Profile on Business Director Thea van Schalkwyk

Thea van Schalkwyk obtained the BA(ED)FA and Honours (Art history) degrees from the University of Pretoria.
She has 18 years experience in art project and art exhibition management and to date has curated over 200
exhibitions of which three were abroad. She has been interviewed by the media, both TV and newspapers.
In 2006 the business was finalist in the GNCCI Business Awards.
In 2009 she was opening speaker at the annual students' exhibition of the Tshwane University of Technology
( TUT ) and presented the Thea van Schalkwyk Art Award.
